Well-there you go--hell (and thus heaven?) is a state of mind. And the same circumstances that can produce depression in one person, can be perfectly acceptable to another. That is so TRUE about not wanting to antagonize God becuase He might really let you have it. And I 'm not even a believer, exactly. But whatever's in charge could give you the whammy. "So you think you got it bad now? Take this!" LIke someone is measuring. And since I also have an extremely wonderful life, it makes me very nervous that I'm not making karmic gains in this life and will have to really suffer in the next. Suffering being essential to becoming a better person or something. I'm lucky that Dan also thinks life is wonderful, most of the time. Except for the morning traffic, and the fact that he can no longer throw his 90 mph fastball.
