I don't know much about Beck (it's a private company), but one way for Beck's owners to take dollars to the bank would be a merger with TAVA. That might underly JJ's excitement about TAVA/Beck. With the approach of 1/1/00, we've let the real giant sleep. That's the ongoing utility deregulation, which will span more years and command more dollars than the Y2k experience. If TAVA and Beck are working well together at this stage, a major case for a merger could be made. I suspect this is one area the TAVA database could be well-exploited. Also, JJ mentioned in the last CC that they were close to landing a contract to build a "virtual" power station. I'm glad to hear that the Beck relationship is warm and cozy.
