Sign of a bottom? Sure, when U.S. Senate Banking Committee members become vocal in support of the gold industry, it's probably more than just lip service in this case. If the IMF or supernational financial institutions truly want to "help the poor nations," then they can simply stop putting the screws to those states rather than dumping gold or transferring gold into their own pockets, under the charade of benevolent causes. Hopefully Senator Bryan is equally concerned about the endless stream of derivatives being created for our amusement....a bet, based upon a bet, based upon a bet, so far removed from the underlying asset there may as well not be an asset to start with. Chicago rainfall vs. drachma?
