"PECO Energy's nuclear facility recently experienced a 7 hour lockup of the plant's primary and backup plant monitoring system computers during Y2k testing". This is very interesting, since Peco claims to have been working on Y2k for four years, and have expressed extreme confidence for readiness when the bell tolls. I voice-mailed some of the task force leaders offering info about Tava and asking for information on my particular division, but received no replies. I was informed that they were too busy for general discussion, athough they were ahead of schedule. I can only think that if Peco had this kind of failure after four years of dedicated Y2k work, WHAT SHAPE ARE THE OTHER UTILITIES THAT HAVE NEGLECTED THIS POTENTIAL NIGHTMARE.
