Jing- I am confused. Cable is a shared medium. Lots
of 2 Mbps channels, but if lots of people use the channels
at the same time they share the bandwidth. DSL on the
other hand is a dedicated pipe. Each user has the entire
bandwidth of the pipe. The only bottleneck occurs at the
CLEC side of the path.

I think your statement that DSL will have a minority market
share is wrong technically. And maybe only correct if the
local phone companies of the world can't readjust to the
present and start offering DSL instead of their T1's, ISDNs,
and other ex-profitable solutions.
