jimmyo,

Nextel (the stock) is refusing to move. It's amazing. So much good news has come out - it would boost almost any other stock I can think of. The only thing left is a buyout offer. First quarter report could be an upside surprise, but now I'm even doubting that would convince analysts.

The stock has been under fairly heavy distribution in the last week. I'm guessing that those hopeful for a good fourth quarter and / or a buyout are starting to bail, and looking for action elsewhere.

Nextel is still a compelling long term investment. Over the last week, I have dropped 1/3 of my position (long term gain), with the hope of picking it up lower. If not, I'm still comfortable with my present position. I'm worried enough about the general market that I think Nextel has a lot better chance of being lower before much higher.

Have fun in FLA. By the way, I heard Florida is also a nice place to take an RV vacation.

Rob
