To All thread participants

It is very sickening to look at the DOW and OEX soaring like a rocket when the small caps (Russel 2000) are still struggling for life.
(Thanks to Kevin, AV and otheres. We all made some $$ in semi this week)

This sudden spurt in Dow to 7000 might end, but don't know when and how? When the DOW drops (my guess would be from the Feb option expiry to mid March before the portfolio managers dress up for the quarter) to 6400-6600, what would be the fate of these small caps??? Or the market will be smart like ringmaster and rotate from DOW30 and Wintel to small caps without any big noise.

What should we do now

1. Buy small caps which are promising (names?)
2. Short on overvalued stocks, (again some names)
3. Buy gold funds.
4. Keep the cash (if you still have any) under the mattress.

or all of the above.

Let's us have some thoughts.
