Michael,

How the world unfolds!

Questions:

1. Why would DOC with $50 over million in cash, 50% growth in revenue, suddenly feel inclined to merge?

2. Is there really synergy combining KM with BI?

3. What happens now to Rube's promise that $10 million of fat will be pared from DOCs organization (as per consultant's report).

4. What happens now to the consultant's recommendations?

5. Why did HUM's stock suffered a sell off today?

6. Why did DOC's stock suffered a sell off today?

7. In competing stock sell offs, which will go lower, HUM or DOC?

8. What do you get when you put together a HUM and DOC?

My opinated answers:

1. CEO is tired of everyone going after his ass!

2. Two wrongs don't make a right!

3. Gone with the wind!

4. Gone with the wind! And too the money paid to the consultants!

5. HUM's shareholders see DOC stinks!

6. DOC's shareholders see HUM stinks!

7. We'll find out next week!

8. BIRD_DOG!

If Rube was tired and wanted to get out of the limelight, I wish he had hired an investment house to look for a buyer (just like other companies did) instead of merging like this. Shareholders of DOC would have been much better off if Rube had us at heart, and commissioned an open search for the highest bidder. Instead, CEO now has a job deal for himself, and us, shareholders are left in the cold.
