"Overly well-performing system -- what was it? On what stock?"

Testing was done on IMAT. Using MACD and ROC. I see at least three problems with that system mentioned. 1) It particularly works in a rising trend stock, and one doesn't easily know that about a stock in advance; 2) The 13% was arrived at through optimization on the ROC -- if one had have guessed 14%, the system may not have panned out; 3) In order to be sure of exiting the long position, one would have had to place limit market sell orders, and not all shares may have been subsequently sold at the price expected, as price may fall just as soon as your first selling shares hit.

"What does your database consist of?"

You mean that one that I had to fish out of the trash? All stocks on the three main exchanges trading $.75 to $12.00. Last I noticed, that was about 3,400 -- but a few seem to go belly up every week, so the total keeps dropping.

"Are you trading market right now?"

Yes. I'm presently in AS. It's one of the few stocks that didn't rally today.

"How do you make your decisions?"

Not yet systematically, unfortunately. As soon as I put together a system I can feel comfortable with, I'd like to use it nearly exclusively.

"Are you still going to get rich off 3-5 day trades?"

Short-term position trading seems to be the way to go at this time. And if done successfully, probably one can make a lot of money at it. Doing it successfully, however, appears to involve clearing a large number of hurdles, or divine inspiration -- and doubts about either of these remain.
