You're right on the money. I fully expect that foreign devaluations will force the Fed to lower rates even more to create weakness in the dollar.

What will be really interesting to follow is how depositor withdrawals of "mattress money" in anticipation of Y2K will affect interest rates.

It will be a tug of war of monumental levels, I'll wager.
