Edamo, life is about choices and just by having an alternative to the wintel platform, Dell is going to get a better deal on pricing from MSFT and INTC. IMO they're doing a good job of squeezing out net productivity gains from their suppliers and this deal with IBM produces a lever in sufficient size to really drop prices on many key components. Suppliers are going to have to lower their prices or provide clear additional value that is readily apparent to Dell customers.

The result? Dell continues to provide cutting edge boxes and other products at prices that still allow them to put a floor under the generally declining margins experienced throughout the industry.

Thanks for your well-organized and always insightful remarks.

Best regards,

Mark A. Peterson
