Re: New NASDAQ Rules

Well it seems the Market Makers on the NASD are still allowed to play their little games with regard to the infamous spread. I just got off the phone with my Lombard broker and he informed me that although my bid on CRUS and KNIC today were met on numerous occasions throughout the day, neither one was "hit". He stated to me, and I quote......." Well Steve, apparently these two stocks are not among the 50 being ' tested ' under the new rules". So I said, "Oh....so this means that until the new rules tke effect, I will continue to get screwed by your MM's?" There was complete silence and he said, "Will that be all for today sir?" I said....." Sir?.....what happened to Steve?" I was wished to "Have a nice evening", then I heard nothing but dial tone.
So needless to say, I sat idly by my computer all day watching orders being filled 1/8 below my bid but my order was never hit. I realize that for every buyer there must be a seller, and sometimes orders simply cannot be executed each and every time. However there is a big difference between "cannot" and "will not". Oh well, tomorrow is another day < evil, sinister grin >.
