Amy, >>>The more customers we get online, even if it's by an appliance, the more processing PC servers will be required at Corporate <<<

I can be real dense sometimes, but I really don't understand this appliance thing.

1. Do these appliance things compete against PC's?

2. Will these appliance things slow PC adoption rate into the
homes? Do these appliances impact PC sales?

3. Does it mean that someone who would have bought a PC now would
be satisfied with only having this appliance that does what the
PC would have done?

Intuitively, I don't see where the person who buys a Palm
Pilot is not also a person who owns a PC. In other words,
I don't see a market for those who will only buy a Palm Pilot
an also not own a PC.

4. Could you give examples of some of these appliances?

Ultimately, what do you think the adoption rate will be for PCs going into US homes?

Regards,

Mary
