Ron et all, too much focus on MP3, all this really does for DIMD is give is visibility and a little bit of sales and profits. Here is an article by the CEO of TUTS,the CPQ computer has DIMD's HomePNA wiring in it.

and home networking.

D'Auria: There's been talk about the home networking market for a long time, but this year some things have changed. And we've been part of that change.

The formation of the Home PNA [a home networking standard] was a major step, but, more importantly, the introduction of products from a variety of vendors has really happened.

I picked up a Sunday newspaper in one of those color inserts from Office Depot and there was, on the front page, there were these Compaq Presarios with Pentium III [chips] being advertised with home networking technology built in. ...

There's been lots of talk over the years about home networking, but this year things are really happening. Not just standards organizations like the HomePNA getting together, but people producing real products at real attractive price points.

We were talking about some of the trends that are going on in technology with 3Com, Hewlett, Dell, Compaq. These companies -- many of which are part of your home networking standard -- have noticed some negative things going on in terms of sales here in the first quarter. Are you worried at all that the growth you've seen and the penetration the computer has achieved is about to stabilize?

D'Auria: If XYZ computer company has a quarter a little up or a little down, or if there's some market-share changes between some of the giants that are out there, I would guess that we should all anticipate that. I would suggest that we look at the bigger picture here. ...

I know that I've talked to a lot of people over the last couple of months and asked about how their Internet use has changed over the last year, and it continues to surprise me that they're going beyond my expectations in terms of their dependence [on] and interest in the Internet. ...

Aren't you concerned that the people who are online now are the easy target and that some of the other people that need to experience the Internet are going to be a lot tougher sell, as far as making the Internet easier, faster, cheaper.

D'Auria: Again, I'm astounded that it's not just me, it's not just the power users that are surprising me. It's sort of the general user who is just hooked into this. Certainly, power users will be our leading edge, but I'm surprised how much down the computer demographic chain we've moved as rapidly as we have.

Also,NT has 15% of the ADSL market in North America, and if G-Lite takes off a heckuva lot more,we are making and distributing the NT G-Lite modems.
