can someone tell me how i can determine if i have already downloaded the win95 osr2 release? i honestly do not remember. i've already discussed in an exchange here on this thread with richard that the osr2 update will show as win95a after the installation, and not win95b, as one might expect. so looking my system properties dialog box version number doesn't help, as it says 4.00.950a.

additionally, i recently installed 2 ms upgrades, dun13 and winsock2. if these are newer than osr2, i wonder if i am screwing up by installing osr2 after the fact? i've read that installing older components over newer ones can lead to a muddled computer that doesn't run well. any input from anyone on that?

thanks very much,

mark
