There is a February 21, 1999 article in the New York Times regarding Ivy and other Upper West Side clubs. You can access it on-line via this link:http://www.newspapers.com/
Navigation to the article is pretty obvious. When you get to the NYT homepage, click on "archives". Type "club ivy" into the search engine. Form there you'll be able to access 3 articles on Club Ivy.

They'll give you a feel for the nightclub business in the area.
