I wouldn't expect a Red Herring mention.

They primarily focus on the private companies, not the public ones - making them an excellent source for finding out about potential IPOs, not much more.

Must admit I'm a bit disappointed no one wants to talk about valuation models. It's also a big *warning* sign to me to have nothing but cheerleaders, especially those who care mainly about stock price.

Gerry,

<< When IF wavx hits a critical mass 3-10mm meters, how could the company be valued at less than 3 BILLION? Throw your chart out slate, this is the internet.??>>

This is the exact mindset that will cause lots of people to jump off bridges when the house of cards fall.

Let me give you a few reasons how:

1) Internut companies might not be the "flavor of the month" especially as real earnings start to trickle in
2) The street might really see Wave as a "commodity" not as an internut company
3) The average meter might only be generating a significantly lower amount of revenue than target projections
4) We might get sucked into the consumer privacy crap and be boycotted. Intel can manage, but can we?

At 3 million meters, a $3 billion valuation (~$100/sh) would equate to $1000/subscriber. That seems a bit high to me. At 10 million meters, we have $300/subscriber, much more palatable although I believe anal-ysts will initially value even lower. So the 1st 3 billion dollar question is, can they execute their plan to ship 3-5 million meters this year? Highly unlikely. By 2Q or 3Q next year, I think its possible if all goes as planned. I have no problem waiting as long as we hit the ground running with Hauppage. I'm still viewing Hauppage as a field trial albeit in actual production. We'll be able to gauge the level of consumer acceptance and thus, the ultimate success of Embassy.

In light of all this, I've recently bought back some of the shares I sold off to cover my original investment. I'm cautiously optimistic that Wave will execute their plan, at least in part, although it may take longer than anticipated.
