A CIA analyst on Friday expressed concern over "severe shortages" of energy if Russia's gas pipeline stops operating because of the Year 2000 computer glitch

This CIA guy's real great for being on the ball. I was discussing the prospects for Europe facing power and natural gas shortage AT LEAST 6 months ago, and many others have suggested prior to that.

Europe, if I remember my stats correctly, receives 40% of their natural gas from Russia. And Eastern Europe relies on Russia for a considerable amount of power as well.

I still believe the greatest risks of disruption are with nations overseas and the tertiary impacts in the supply chain that may have on certain reliant US industries.

Regards,

Ron
