Good evening all others,

Some interesting discussions going on. When I first found SI back in early 98, I read many threads (the history) looking for things/systems to help me be a better point and figure chartist. After a few months of this activity I became a paid up member and sent PM's to a number of people at SI who had impressed me with their TA knowledge.

I simply explained that I was a P&F chartist and had been one for a number of years. I had recently purchased a number of standard TA books that explained the standard indicators but I knew that these good people had looked at them in detail and would they give me an idea or two of additional indicator/s/ they had found to be useful to help me determine if a breakout on a P&F chart is legitimate.

Some were very kind and responded - and I will always be appreciative of that fact. One of these very nice folk's was Jerry Gatto. He's probably my favorite because -- I'm first and last -- a visual investor. I use P&F patterns and trendlines. They have made me a great deal of money. And that dear friends is the bottom line. Everything else is BS.

When going through the history of some of these great TA threads, I knew I had found a fellow visual investor in Jerry (I called him Mr. Gatto and he was kind enough to insist that I call him Jerry) when I ran across this one: Message 979687. I have actually printed approximately 50 to 60 pages of Jerry's posts (as well as a number of other people). Check out Message 1000712 or Message 1003938.

Come out of SI retirement Jerry and tell us what you're seeing on your charts.
