Ok Jach, since you are so bullish about Fore systems, let me tell
you from my own experience. I worked for Fore systems almost 8 month,
this is how long it took me to figure out that Fore wouldn't make
it without drastic changes.

1. There was no information flow from management to individual
contributors. Half the time you would find out things at the very
last second, ie projects etc.

2. Our quarter ending conference calls were made by having a telephone connected to a loud speaker. (ATM company technology!)

3. Defect entry system consisted of an ASCII file and vi editor. (this
is when I really learned how to use vi great experience)

4. T1 connection between Pits. and San Jose, that worked 2-3
weeks per month and the rest of the time the IT people would argue
whose fault why it was down.

5. For the 1st 3 month we had 3 GM's each one with a different agenda
the last one got fired (thank god after I quit).

6. Most engineers quit, and started Assured Access, I am sure you know
what happened to Assured Access. The rest of the developers left the
company because there was a shortage of products and no one really
had an idea what they will be working on next.

7. Most everybody else either got laid off or forced to join with Berkeley Net.

I honestly like this company because I still have friends there and
I hope sincerely that you are correct and another company will buy
them for enormous amount of money.

But you are always wrong so, I really hope that Fore can pull out of its misery and make a mark on itself, but its probably just a hopeless dream.
