Thought I'd try and listen to some NetRadio in the background while watching the posting here. Whoo--ee does it slow down the browser! Reads at rates like 36 bytes/sec. Net congestion causes a pretty poor quality sound transmission, too. I'm guessing this is an infrastructure problem. I'm not a techie but I understand the existing hardware and data transmission capabilities serving most areas are just not up to snuff. Two scrawny little copper wires just can't do the job nowadays. I suppose one of these days we'll all have 100% fibre optic delivery systems and THEN look out! This is an industry in its most incipient stage (which I guess is why it has such great potential). Nice to know we have guys at the helm who remember when regular radio was like that!!! #B~]>
