Mohan, if you get a flat panel display make sure the pixels are at least 1280 by 1024--even better if it can be 1600 x 1200. Buying sight unseen isn't the greatest idea. My monitor is perfect at 1280 by 1024 and tho it supposedly supports higher, it gets very weird looking at higher resolutions. But this monitor I have is technology a year old...
