Novell plans to market a new product called "SCADS" which is an industrial strength enhancement of NDS for carriers and ISPs. If this product is successful, it will help Nortel and Lucent who are working on fully integrating and fully supporting NDS into their system software. Cisco has not been fully committed to doing this. Novell may be helping Nortel and Lucent in competing against Cisco in the carrier and ISP space as well as the enterprise space. news.com Ken
