You can deduct expenses from your income. Advertising and promotion are expense items. William, I see you are coming around. The management of Amazon and the analysts want you to believe that Amazon is "investing" in their future. The truth of the matter, as you pointed out, is Amazon is simply losing money. They have more expenses than gross profit. It is becoming more simple to understand as time progresses. Glenn
