OT--LCD

If it helps further, Mohan, I viewed them all at Javitz--Viewsonics are lousy, and thought to be so in the industry (Panasonic makes them), and in fact I tried one for one day and sent it back, Eizo has gotten raves (can go to their website to see some) and for graphics they are amazing but text is not as good as I'd personally like, the IBMs at the dell URL you cited are the newest line for IBM and good--the 18" are very expensive but great to use. Getting a 15" is a bit like getting an enhanced laptop screen--perhaps one wants to wait until the bigger screens are cheaper. The IBM people told me wait a couple months and prices will further come down--they're just shipping this new line now--the digital technology makes it easier for them to manufacture cheaper LCDs but it doesn't make a lot of difference to us as user if we have correct port (AGP I think?)--so again, there may be a whole lot of analogs that go for cheap soon, such as ine, I'd be curious what will happen to this line I now have, the 9516s, 16" on LCD = about 18" on CRT, maybe they will go for really cheap as they're discontinued--mine was 1400 down from 4000
