But what sectors are likely to supply the market with new leaders?

Two somewhat unlikely groups -- biotechnology and chemicals, neither of
which has held much allure for investors in recent years -- appear to be
ascending. (See tables)

Biotech insiders apparently have concluded that their industry is ripe for
further consolidation, and that owning more of their own company's shares
could position them for profit -- or at least a pleasant going-away present if
their employer is swallowed up -- assuming the trend continues.
