Thank hlpinout - Can you list the source URL for this patent information. This will be a good one to monitor over time and might provide some additional incite as to what our management is building for the future. This patent is interesting: "...Dynamic reconfiguration of network device's virtual LANs using the root identifiers and root ports determined by a spanning tree procedure..." It sounds like a "software Hub" to me. This would be a key component necessary for keeping tract of external devises and/or updating a master network directory. We will need to continue to monitor new product announcements from Compaq to see how they eventually utilize this feature in their new product offerings. EKS
