what I have found really intriguing is my ability to download CD quality music INSTANTLY

I also find this very interesting. Would you say then that cable modems place streaming media at a relative disadvantage compared to standard multimedia compression formats, such as MP3 or Quicktime, because of these server delivery limitations you referred to?
