Intel is backing Linux in an effort to provide viable, robust operating system platforms for its workstation and server business. As you noted, Microsoft has been Absent in providing good software to take advantage of Intel's newer hardware. They completely BLEW their Chromeffects project. In many, many ways, Intel's and Microsoft's priorities are diverging. Intel is finally taking a pro-active stance to help itself. Paul
