We check with each other before buying a book. I used to buy a paperback and if I liked it I would go to the library and read the entire works by the author. Have you read Hillerman? He is the brother of the Major Domo on Magnum PI. He writes mainly about the 4 corners area-AZ, CO, NM, UT. Navajo detectives. Lots of Indian lore.
