Would you explain, in terms a simpleton like me can understand, how Java represents an "object-oriented machine architecture", IF in fact it can run on my plain old PC... I admit to a lack of knowledge about Java (I have found it pays to NEVER be a pioneer. Never.). I just fail to see how this language that can run on PCs from 386s forward can be considered a "machine architecture". I do not think you'll be seeing PCs anytime soon that are exclusive for Java use.
