Interesting business transactions occurring lately; -Phillips (OEM) hostile bid for VLSI (customized chips) -Sony (OEM) joint venture with Toshiba (DRAM manu). Looks as if the OEM's want to have more control over chip procurement, manu, and design, sort of like vertical integration!? humm... Any comments? MileHigh
