Web page update: Hole CIH-99-3 Complete at 220 meters March 7, 1999 - On Saturday we ended hole #3 at 220 meters. The boring tool was running right down the fault line and chewing up the bit. Hard pack and no veins of consequence at that point so it made sense to stop there. On Sunday, during sleet, snow and rain storm they moved the rig to hole #4 and spudded. The casing split between sections 2 & 3 so work was halted. More casing will have to be brought in from Eastern Diamond Drilling's headquarters. As a result, little if any work will be done on hole #4 on Monday. Hole #4 is a 45-degree reverse angle from hole #2. Its purpose is to reveal the veins we have not been able to get at yet. We should hit a 30-meter section of multiple quartz veins starting around 50 meters deep. These several veins often run 30cm to 50cm thick and are very high yielding unlike the first three holes where we went after structure we figured would be low yielding. The purpose of this was to identify targets and help decide if we have workable width outside of the high-grade veins previously sampled. Workable width means that we have an economic ore body, one that can be mined successfully. With visual results so far we have been able to determine that we have a workable width. The coming assay results will give a scientific, meaningful number to those assumptions.
