And the longs are clueless & lucky [...] Oh yeah. Great data point, all the 'luck' that has contributed to many shareholders seeing remarkable returns. I'm not yet a very long term owner, but clueless, lucky, and long-term profitable simply don't go together. And many people are long-term profitable on EBAY. Good luck in your speculation. It's not hard to see that shorts have been the speculators so far. eBay has shown remarkable growth and staying power in this industry; and it's becoming clearer that when the first mover in an Internet field executes with skill, customer service, and strategy, they are extremely difficult to mimic.
