Michael, Office2000 gets released sometime after April 1----its hits stores sometime in May or even June (the range is between April and June).
Basically, the June and September quarters are going to be great revenue producers.

The presentation of Beta 3 of Windows2000 (formerly NT 5.0) should generate a lot of interest and an understanding of the potential of this product behind Microsoft's marketing power. I think MSFT is very focussed on getting Windows2000 out as soon as possible--expected around September.

The technology event in March might cause some european buying of MSFT too. That along with the March 26 stock split should provide enough momentum to the stock for the next 3 weeks. After that we have earnings release around April 19, 20. We could have a huge ramp up in this stock to possibily 100 (split adjusted)or greater in April

The anti-trust case is off until at least April 12-----should give MSFT attorneys to get their act together and focus on the key issues.

There is a lot anti-MSFT media that is trying to hype Linux operating system. CNN is the best example of obvious anti-Microsoft news coverage in the past year. Their Moneyline news anchors and reporters can't contain themselves in reporting negative news on Microsoft. Maybe they don't like the fact that MSNBC.com is well ahead of CNN.com as the favorite internet news site. There are a lot of technology analysts and media that just resent Microsoft for its success. These are just my observations on media--I could be wrong NOT!

I have noticed that when MSFT released Windows98, the analysts (that I saw on CNBC and CNN) interviewed dismissed it as a minor upgrade that most will not buy. Windows98 was a blow-out. I guess they were wrong-----or maybe trying "un-hype" it.

Best of luck on your investment.
