You are correct, I'm long the stock at what was admittedly poor timing on my part- shortly before the earnings announcement.

This revelation should give my fans some enjoyment, particularly because I swapped out of Intel to do it! I saw the inevitable price war as a negative for both firms- as well as a diminishing short term need for more powerful CPU's at the retail level. I perceive we currently have a communication, not processing bottleneck which can only be alleviated by faster broadband roll out. Intel's recent acquisition of LEVL supports this decision in my opinion.

I saw an opportunity to get a short term lift out of a good quarterly for AMD. Got burned, and now my time frame is somewhat longer, but hey these things happen and I'm well diversified.

At least I'm honest in my motivations for being here- something these guys cannot say.
