Mani,

Re: Q1

It sure looks like demand for AMD parts is INCREASING.

It sure looks like AMD is GAINING market share.

Recent surveys show the KIII as a compelling Consumer choice.

Unfortunately it's not the orders or bookings that are the ikely problem areas.

AMD has recently introduced the K6-2 450, K-3 400/450 and tomorrow the K6-2 380 mobiles.

So they have a great product line and willing customers.

The key is wether thay can YIELD and SHIP the right speed grades.

Thats why the stock hasn't moved.

But if they have solved the speed grade k6-2 problems and yield well on K-3's then the stock MUST rocket.

The short position is up to 15M+ shares now.

So everything is rosy, except that the k-3's from Compaq are not available (allegedly this week). And Cybermax is sold out already.

The k6-2 450's seem quite available.

The question for AMD as always is wether they can DELIVER.

We only have 5 weeks to wait for the news.

Regards,

Kash
