Well for starters because internet access speed isn't like that all the time, and when it is or isn't responding like that is out of their hands.

You seem awfully OK about the fact that you expected to get 100x and are only getting 16x. If you bought a car because it claimed 20 miles per gallon and you only got 4, you'd be so disappointed you'd want your money back.

Funny what owning a stock does to one's tolerance.

Sorry, but I'm really tired of @HOME service outages and having to wait on hold for hours, and I'm especially tired of having to call and wait on hold to find out why I didn't get the credit for the last month's outage that I had to call to get credit for in the first place. Any node-wide outage should be an AUTOMATIC credit to EVERY affected customer, whether they call or not.

You know the really sad thing....they have no incentive to improve because there's no competition. I have no other "sometimes-high-speed" option at the moment. A great scenario for shareholders....a shitty one for customers. When you're both I guess you opt for the side that makes you money.

dh

PS why did you opt for the Ethernet interface rather than USB as you had originally planned?
