Thanks for the tip, Spots. I have just bought the Mouseman Wheel (net $15.95 from buy.com) and really, really like its feel. 4 buttons, nice grip, good software and wheel.

Now, though, I have another problem. I think I've cleaned out all the stray drivers and am getting no event errors, but after a reboot it isn't being recognized as the logitech mouse. I'm just getting the standard Microsoft PS/2 mouse options, even though I reinstalled the software (and 2 patches) twice. This is a bummer, since it works much better with the mouseware software. I'm guessing that the problem was caused by a registry deletion of the old logitech entries when I was solving the earlier conflict. I should have backed up the registry I guess, but I figured that a complete reinstall would handle the registry entries too.

Any ideas on how to get this fixed?

Thanks,

Dave
