I'd be interested in your construction of a mental state that will allow adultery but won't allow other wrong-doing.

There are hierarchies of wrong-doing; people drive beyond the speed limit who would never pull a hit-and-run, people smoke grass who would never sell heroin. Very few people follow all the rules all the time, different people draw their lines in different places.
