On the basis of the patently suspicious email, our editors contacted sources close to Sega. They confirmed the broad sweep of the email - that NEC is working on a second generation Dreamcast technology designed to best PlayStation 2 - leading us to run the story. Unfortunately, it appears the hoax's relation to the reality of NEC's plans is coincidental. Detail above and beyond that is unknown to us. FGN works incredibly hard to give you truthful and accurate information. Our news coverage has lead to extraordinary growth. Our readership has doubled in the last two months.
