X We are all conscious of brand names. We all want nice stuff. I have no idea where you are or what you see, but if you don't live or haven't been in Asia, you don't understand the real psychology. Yes, the older generation is much like the depression generation here. The younger generation are also less frugal. However, the people that most non-Asians run into have the ability to travel because they indeed have money and belong in a higher socioeconomic group. The Asians shopping in Macy or Nordstrom spending $1000 cash for an Armani jacket doesn't represent the other 2 billion people there. They are the minority. mike
