To all:

It appears that someone took a statement I made out of context and has begun spreading it throughout the internet to further there "negative bias" campaign against MCHM. MY POST WAS NOT TO MISLEAD ANYONE AND A CAMPAIGN AGAINST MCHM WAS CERTAINLY NOT MY INTENTION.

I provided one person's perspective from the data presented at the AUA (American Urological Association) last June, which in my opinion, was less exciting than the other therapies (mainly oral) presented.

Dr. Goldstein presented trial data at the AUA from a limited number of men (n=114). The topical was applied to the glans (I believe Dr. Goldstein said that the use of the topical on the shaft caused minor irritation). The patient was then shown erotic movies and through self-stimulation, in conjunction with use of an electric vibrator, was then determined by the clinician if an erection sufficient for intercourse was produced. In the end, it was my opinion that this was alot of work to produce an erection that might have been achieved by using another therapy. I think that Dr. Goldstein stated that the study had an 80% positive outcome (I don't know what the placebo arm of the trial produced).

Dr. Goldstein also cautioned the attendees that the data would have to be replicated in larger studies to determine and document the drug's potential.

I just wanted to set the record straight that I've seen no further data that would suggest that the drug is ineffective and would be willing to provide any additional information that was presented at this year's AUA.

Hope this clears the air. Best of luck to Macrochem.
