Instock,
I must admit I'm new at this. I don't know your e-mail address or how to find it. However, some thoughts on this company on this thread.
First, I'm founder and president of a group of 40 year old children who share capitalistic views. About six years ago we formed the "Commission" From six, we grew to our present 18. We all have real jobs and investing keeps us in contact and I guess we have been very lucky... or we are very good.
When we find a concept or situation, the Commission members use thier indivdual tallents to research and dig. When the Commission orders you to find the names of all major shareholders....You must not refuse....and so on. Our goal is to know everything. Anyhow, Information is compiled and then shared with the group. Some members do more work than others. For example, we have a couple of doctors, so they take lead roles on medical evaluation. It really is very lighthearted, but the money has gotten somewhat serious. Each member acts individually and we all wish each other prosperity. We have some givens. We don't short. We dont follow more than six stocks. We go long and follow close. Our ratio has been about four to one, which has tended to energize everyone.
SALV is one of our new ventures. We had done a small amount of work on it a few years ago, and we kind of kept an eye on it. We felt that when Epitope got the FDA stamp.. and signed on with a major, this made SALV suddenly very interesting. Of course there is a whole lot more to it. (Concerns financials, concerns managerial) Anyhow, we were able to evaluate the last five or so years of HIV saliva testing (presented at the AIDS pow wow in B.C.) and found that the SALV product was just as good if not exactly as good as the Epitope product.(Orasure) Soooo.... we figured, SALV may have an easy time of it ... and a major might want to do a deal now .
You need to understand that deals like this are not put together overnight. You don't want to give away the store. You also don't want to sit at the table broke and having no confidence from your own shareholders. Alot can be gained by reviewing the moves that the company has made. I guess we like what we see and believe what we believe. And I would assume that you must feel the same or you would not be in the stock. I would not venture to say when, but I personally believe it will be rather soon. And I do feel that if and when it does, it will have a large impact.
