You are right! There is only 8MB RAM and no mention of CD ROM on HP sub$1,000 PC.

With 8MB RAM ,1MB video RAM and Pentium-120 to run Win95, HP sub$1000 customers would have to cry loud for the poor system performance without understanding why it sucks.

There is one thing hit me that Compaq put 32MB RAM in the Cyrix based Presaria 2000 with a subwoofer. It would make significant difference to performance and end users' pleasure.

I guess that HP better places their order with FIC for GX based Vetra to stay competitive in retailer market very soon.
