Corel Announces Software Amnesty Program for
WordPerfect(r) Users

Customers can obtain legal certificates at a special price

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--Corel Corporation is pleased to announce a WordPerfect(r) Amnesty program for customers who are running historical versions of WordPerfect without valid proof of licence.

Under the Corel Licence Program - CLP Choice(tm) WordPerfect Amnesty campaign, customers can obtain legal certificates for their current software from Corel for a suggested list price of US $29(1). The Amnesty program will cover several historical versions of WordPerfect. For details on product offering, please contact your local retailer.

''This program will allow customers who do not have legal certificates to obtain one for their records and enjoy the full benefits of Corel's support services such as Corel Tech Services and the Corel Solution Partners Program,'' said Jim Orban, Corel's executive vice president of marketing. ''With legal certificates, these customers will also have a legal base to upgrade into Corel's latest technology.''

Customers who obtain a license and wish to take advantage of Corel(r) WordPerfect Suite 8 will be eligible to purchase the upgrade licence at the standard CLP Choice upgrade price. (Please see the appropriate CLP Choice price list or contact your local reseller.)

(1) Dealers may sell for less. This promotion entitles customers in North America to a maximum of 50 licences each.
