Don't know if anyone else in the Bay Area noticed the little gem of free advertising for SanDisk on the front page of the Computing section of Sunday's San Jose Mercury News. The whole section was on digital photography, and the top half of the front page shows a picture of a large hand slipping a tiny 96MB CompactFlash card (w/SanDisk logo) into a camera. There was also a smaller article about the top three flash cards (CompactFlash, Smart Media, and our favorite memory twig), with the writer mentioning that he prefers CompactFlash. "The first thing you should look for when shopping for a digital camera is the kind of memory it has." Anyway, the press couldn't have hurt and might have something to do with today's morning pop.
