The entire semiconductor group seems to be out-of-favor due to
the extra capacity coming on-line in the US and Asia.
Also, Samsung-Toshiba strategic alliance will have slightly over
50% of world market. Talks with Japan due to expire at the end of
June don't help much either. In short, when uncertain, the young
mutual fund Turks stay out or sell.
TXN is more diversified than MU (commodity semis) but on Wall Street,
perception is substance most of the times.
I personally expect TXN to trade in the $48-54 range for awhile.
The rest depends on the whole market and then, industry outlook.
I am trading semis both long and short due to high betas.// CA
