Scott, re the bad MII-300. Why immediately blame Cyrix testing for the bad chip? Which vendor was it purchased from? How do you know that it wasn't mishandled by the reseller and/or a customer who returned it after trying to overclock it, etc?

Also, I know saving $15 doesn't sound like much, but I work for a co that sells chips to the disk drive industry, and these guys beat on us to shave pennies!! off prices. The OEM's in turn beat on them to shave a few dollars off their prices.

I know NSM needs to move along the speed curve, but if they can make money selling $40-$60 chips, then they may still have a future. Remember that AMD seems to need an ASP of about $100 just to break even.
