Phil Lemmons, editorial director of PC World Hal PS: By "box-makers" I mean to suggest that Wintel machines are pretty much mechanical clones made from the same cookie-cutter. Does anyone really believe that we have reached the pinnacle of hardware innovation? Or are things just being made convenient for the supplier of the OS? HR
